What's in my camera bag?

What's in my camera bag?

About two years ago for Christmas, my mom got me a Canon Rebel SL1, which came with two kit lenses. This camera was very special because it had a white body, so it was very different from other cameras I had seen before. Another reason why it was special was because it was my first DSLR camera, so I was super excited to start using it, and about the time I got the camera was when I started my art classes! The first important event that I shot was my older brother's engagement, but this was back before I knew how to shoot manually. The photos turned out great but, I knew I needed to learn more about my camera before calling myself a photographer. My Rebel was the camera body that I used in my Photo 1 & Photo 2 classes, and I can definitely say that I learned a ton about photography and my camera and I definitely grew very attached to it!

This summer I was able to experience a few weddings and did a ton of research on what I needed to be a professional photographer, what I found was that I needed a new big girl camera, which kind of made me sad but, I knew it had to happen. I knew that I wanted to stay with Canon because, well, I loved it! I also wanted to stay with Canon because it was what I was used to. After looking at all of the reviews and research I decided on the Canon 5D Mark iii, and I have to say I am so happy with my choice!! It did take me a while to get used to this new body because a lot of the buttons were in totally different places than on the Rebel, but I got the hang of it! This summer has been full of enlightening experiences, learning opportunities, and excitement! With the help of my family, and saving, I have filled my camera bag with so many important lenses and other items!

I am so excited to go into my senior year with my new camera body and lenses and I am so thankful and blessed that I have so many people backing, supporting, and encouraging me all the way!
